Our Latest Charity Donation
We are delighted that our latest charity donation has gone to support The Shakespeare Hospice in Stratford upon Avon.
As part of our continuing policy to support local charities and projects on Friday 23rd March 2012 we handed over a cheque of £250 to Amanda Morby of the Shakespeare Hospice.
The Shakespeare Hospice has to raise £1.4million each year to run the day centre hospice and currently can only open their doors just 4 days a week (Monday to Thursday) so fund raising is very important to the Shakespeare Hospice and they arrange several events each year to help them raise these essential funds.
The hospice is a haven of peace and calm and a major source of help, advice and support for all of those who need it. This is not only for the patients but for their families and carers as well. It offers a range of treatment’s including massage, reflexology, Reiki and much, much more. Patients can pop in anytime it is open and just stay for a chat, a cup of coffee or join in one of the craft events being held there and just find some pace and time to think in their Sanctuary.
"I am delighted that Synergy wish to support the Hospice " said Simon Beecham, a member of Stratford Synergy. "Our aim is always to help whenever and where ever we can" said Jon Lloyd Chair of Solihull Synergy. "We were so impressed with the work they do here that we are now looking at additional other ways we can continue to support the Shakespeare Hospice" said Edwina Silver, Chair of Stratford Synergy.
If you would like to find out more about the Shakespeare Hospice and what they offer - then please contact Amanda Moby on 01789 266852. They are always looking for volunteers and people to sign up to fund raise for their events. |
